I felt more rested, balanced, and whole at the end of the retreat compared with the beginning. It was a week of forming new friendships, eating delicious and healthy food, setting aside worries, distractions, and responsibilities, and having time for deep reflection. It is rare, if not unheard of, in our rushed lives to have such an opportunity like this to truly focus on oneself and to experience genuine self-care. I highly recommend attending an Immersive Island Retreat. Your soul will thank you for it.

KERRY MCCOLL

Yoga & Meditation Teacher

Kerry is a 200hr RYT Yoga Teacher and experienced international retreat leader. She thrives on helping her students explore the wonder of their own body to find a deeper understanding of their needs, unique strengths and resources.Kerry incorporates breathwork, mantra and self-reflection to guide her students into a deeper state of relaxation and help them find their way back towards their true essence.Kerry says: “My first yoga retreat was a catalyst for huge, positive change in my life. The experience opened me up in ways I couldn’t imagine and showed me that I could live my life differently - a life filled with passion, following my desires.Since then I’ve been on a mission to help bring that realisation to others. I spent 3 years facilitating and teaching on yoga retreats in Thailand, now it’s time for me to bring that transformational power to home soil. With the support of guides, community of inspirational peers, I know that you can do anything you set your mind to!My passion in life is to help others use the tools that yoga can provide to come home to their true selves and realise their full potential.”

IMG-20220208-WA0021.jpg

Yoga was completely new to me, and our two daily yoga sessions were enjoyable and refreshing. Although there was a mix of abilities among the participants (with me being at the extreme end of novice), I did not feel intimidated. The atmosphere created by the yoga instructor Kerry was inclusive and non-judgmental. Just what a beginner needs. She taught/instructed participants at their own level, and the those with years of yoga practice under their belt were just as included.

THE LOCATION

The Isle of North Uist on the Outer Hebrides is one of the few places on the British Isles where you can feel so close to nature and the elements, with miles of spectacular white sandy beaches and turquoise seas.

Located amongst the unique and fertile landscape of the machair, this island paradise is one of the few unspoilt landscapes that remain as a haven for wildlife in the UK.

Featured in the recent David Attenborough documentary ‘Wild Isles’, you’ll be able to spot rare birds such as Lapwings and Corncrakes in their natural habitat as you gaze out from our morning meditation spot.
With our accommodation just a few minutes walk to idyllic white sand beaches, you can choose to swim in the refreshingly wild waters each morning.

This remote Island landscape offers rugged, natural beauty; an ideal escape from the pressures of modern life, where you can disconnect from the noise and distractions to listen to your heart's true desires. Here you will experience true connection with nature as you tune in to the tides, ground your feet into the earth and let the wild waters wash away your worries.

Our retreat venue is just a few minutes walk away from this picturesque white sand beach!

GUEST TESTIMONIALS

This week's retreat was fantastic, as I expected, and way more. I've tried new things (yoga, chanting, painting rocks for example), eaten healthy & filling food, made new friends, and encountered aspects of myself I did not know were there. I am leaving the retreat not only refreshed and renewed, but transformed.
